For the first time in Europe: 100 years of African American art based on storytelling. From February 8, visitors can explore the visual richness of black culture in Kunsthal KAdE through the works of 50 African American artists. Around 140 works - mainly on loan from the United States - will be exhibited in Amersfoort. Most of the participating artists have never been exhibited in the Netherlands before. Meet the figureheads of African American art and learn about their unique stories.

Rückblick: MAESTRO VAN WITTEL - Holländischer Meister der italienischen Stadtansicht

Caspar van Wittel (1653-1736) wurde in Amersfoort geboren, bewegt rund 1673 nach Italien, erlangte dort einen großen Namen und kehrte nicht mehr in sein Geburtsland zurück. Gegenwärtig befindet sich der weitaus größte Teil seines Oeuvres in italienischen, englischen und spanischen Sammlungen. Mit der Ausstellung 'MAESTRO VAN WITTEL – Holländischer Meister der italienischen Stadtansicht' ehren das Museum Flehite und die Kunsthal KadE vom 26. Januar bis einschließlich 5. Mai diesen Meister mit einer großen Retrospektive.
