Brick building workshop

During this workshop, you will work with artist Lennart de Neef to build your own brick. After all, can you build a brick? What are the properties of a brick? By studying the brick and recreating impossible constructions with bricks as separate objects, Lennart de Neef puts reality into his own hands and in this way questions the reality of our environment.

During this workshop we will also play with reality and, after a brief introduction with the artwork, you will recreate your own brick from plastic to create your own artwork. 

About the artist
Lennart de Neef is a visual artist based in Utrecht. Lennart's artistic practice focuses on everyday elements from his own living environment as inspiration to create works of art. Thus, he has also been inspired by the brick, a super common (literal) building block of the Dutch landscape. His work ON AIR will be shown in the exhibition BAKSTEEN | BRICK.
