Together with artist Mella Jaarsma, discover all kinds of materials, from which you will create your own work of art!
Artist Mella Jaarsma lives and works in Indonesia and often uses natural materials from her surroundings in the works she creates such as: tree bark, animal skins, coconut husks, cocoons, as well as traditional fabrics and found objects such as food packaging.
Together with the artist, you will discover where these materials come from and what makes them so special. Are they vegetable or perhaps animal? And what does that actually mean? We will also think about the connection between humans and animals. Think about it: do you walk on shoes made of plastic or leather? Using the materials, you will create a collage around this theme. You can take home your own artwork.
