Discover the artist behind Ministry of Fear/Foam. Folkert de Jong talks more about his artistry during this lecture and gives a peek inside his head.

Artist Folkert de Jong shows his 25-year oeuvre during the solo exhibition Ministry of Fear/Foam at Kunsthal KAdE. Early on, Folkert got caught up in a world of Styrofoam and PU foam with which he creates bizarre tableaux vivants. How did the artist ever get started? Why did this (building) material appeal to Folkert so much? What inspires and intrigues him?

During this lecture Folkert de Jong will tell you about the history of his artistry. He will take you into his world of chaos, art and stories using various works from his oeuvre and give a behind-the-scenes look at how Ministry of Fear/Foam came to be.
