Did you know that looking at art is good for your well-being?
For the Elleboogkerk in Amersfoort, Mona Hatoum created a new version of installation Web (2025), a large-scale constellation of delicate, transparent glass spheres connected by steel wires to form the shape of a spider's web.
During this special mindfulness workshop, you will look in detail at the installation of Web by Mona Hatoum and discover what experience(s) this work evokes in you.
After a brief introduction and explanation, you will watch in silence while being guided mindfully and meditatively by Hester Noort. Afterwards we will exchange experiences.

What is Mindfulness?
Briefly, Mindfulness has its roots in Buddhism and is described as "paying deliberate attention to the present moment, without judgment" (J. Kabat-Zinn). Mindfulness is about the art of being present in the here and now, being fully aware of your present experience and dealing with it in a gentle way, without judgment or relevantly enjoying it fully!
