Who was Jacob Lawrence?
Jacob Lawrence was an African-American artist and a true storyteller. He used his art to show the world how important stories are - about where you come from, what you believe in, and who inspires you.
And now it's your turn.
Because you have stories, too. About people who help others, are brave, who you admire and make a difference. Think of your mom, your soccer coach, your best friend, an artist like Banksy or an artist like Billie Eilish. Maybe your hero is an (in)famous local resident or ... yourself.
Get started with your story of a hero during this Storytelling workshop.
Are you older than 24? Don't worry, you can still participate in this incredibly fun workshop where you will learn how to tell stories.
About Brood
Broed is a platform to make the professionalization of the creative and cultural sector in the Utrecht region more accessible and stronger.
Every year November is dedicated to the creative professional and his development. An inspiring month full of activities in the Utrecht region.
Why BROED?
Continuing to learn and develop is important for yourself, your work and the industry as a whole. But: it's easier said than done. Because you're busy with your work, don't have time for an extensive course or don't know exactly what you want to learn. BROED encourages creatives to step out of their heads for a while, into the field.
Therefore, during BROED there is a broad program in which you can learn something in different ways. The program is put together with the cultural and creative sector and consists of practical workshops, one-on-ones, talks, inspiration sessions or drinks with like-minded people. So there is something for everyone to develop personally, creatively or professionally.
About the workshop instructor
