Kunsthal KAdE will host the exhibition Blueprint/ Blueprint from February 16 to March 23, 2014. The exhibition consists of two parts. On the first floor of the art hall, approximately 40 "blueprints" are on display, a project by artist Sebastiaan Bremer in collaboration with architecture firm SO - IL (Solid Objectives, Florian Idenburg and Jing Liu). On the first and second floors is a presentation of about twenty young artists with Amersfoort ties. These artists each show a work based on the idea of the "blueprint. Whereas many of the artists and architects in the selection of Sebastiaan Bremer and SO - IL have mature, mature oeuvres, the young Amersfoort artists are at the beginning of their careers. Blueprint/ Blueprint is the last exhibition at KAdE's current location. As of spring 2014, Kunsthal KAdE will be housed in the Eemhuis on the Eemplein in Amersfoort.
Blueprint
For years, architectural plans and designers' designs were printed on special "blueprints" to duplicate plans. The digital world has totally changed both the architectural world and the design world. Everyone designs on computers these days. However, there is still a company in New York that produces blueprints using the original process. About fifteen years ago, artist Sebastiaan Bremer and designer Pieter Woudt asked colleagues and friends if they would make a "blueprint," based on a work they saw as a "blueprint" for their oeuvre. In 2014, Bremer, this time in collaboration with SO - IL (the architecture firm Solid Objectives of Florian Idenburg and Jing Liu), repeated the project in KAdE, including many participants who 'then' also participated. Has their vision changed? What are their blueprints now? Added to the selection of then are architects, designers and artists who were out of the picture at the time or have since become interesting.

Blueprint. 'Fresh blood'; young artists with Amersfoort ties
On the first and second floors of KAdE is a presentation of about twenty young artists with Amersfoort ties. Some are still at an academy, some have just graduated. This is the talent that Amersfoort harbors, from disciplines ranging from graphic, photography, visual and product design. Fresh "blood," in addition to the artists who have dominated the image of Amersfoort art for the past ten, fifteen years.
The twenty artists will each make or show a work, starting from the idea of the "blueprint. Whereas many of the artists and architects in Idenburg and Bremer's selection have mature, mature oeuvres, the young Amersfoort artists are at the beginning of their careers. An interesting confrontation.
The selection of Amersfoort artists is in the hands of Ron Jagers and Martin Honings, and includes young talents who have previously exhibited at the Stadsgalerij, Alderman Van den Berg's room, BV de Gasten, Haren Majesteit and De Observant.
The selected artists: Lisette Appeldorn | Sander Breure & Witte van Hulzen | Elsemarijn Bruys | Hans Goslinga | Sanne Guijt & Joël Gibbs | Daniël van de Haterd | Rachel Heemskerk & Marcel Herkelman | Cyanne van Houten | Jippiet | Mathieu Klomp | Thirza Kok | Frank Meppelink | Robin Meyer | Bernd Oschelda | Pixelkaiju | Corine Zomer
A program of performances and (club) parties will be organized around the exhibition].
Move in spring 2014
With this view of the young talent in Amersfoort, combined with international creative minds, KAdE is ushering out its period in the RCE building on Smallepad. Kunsthal KAdE will move to a new location in Amersfoort in the spring of 2014. The Eemhuis, designed by Rotterdam-based Neutelings Rietdijk architects, will house not only Kunsthal KAdE but also Scholen in de Kunst, the Eemland Library and Archief Eemland. Until Sunday, February 2, 2014, the exhibitions can still be seen in the RCE building at Smallepad 3 (next to the Koppelpoort).
