Kunsthal KAdE
From August 24, 2024 through January 5, 2025, the exhibition is Sleep! on display at KAdE.
Note: On Saturday, November 16, Sinterklaas will arrive at the Eemplein. Therefore, from 7.00 - 17.00 the Kleine Koppel will be closed near the Eemplein. And from 12.00 - 15.00 hrs the Eemplein is temporarily not accessible for bicycles. The Eemplein parking garage will remain accessible. Kunsthal KAdE and the KAdECafé are open all day.
Opening hours during holidays
Kunsthal KAdE will be closed on King's Day, Christmas Day and New Year's Day. On December 5, 24 and 31, Kunsthal KAdE will close one hour earlier.
On Easter Sunday, Easter Monday, Ascension Day, Pentecost Sunday, Whit Monday and Boxing Day, we are open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Accessibility
The Eemhuis and Kunsthal KAdE are wheelchair-friendly. There is an elevator in the building that allows you to reach all floors. It is also possible to reserve a wheelchair. You can call 033 422 50 30 to do so. Only the KAdEStudio is currently not accessible by wheelchair.
Facilities
- Our staff is always at your service and can help with opening doors or determining the most pleasant walking route.
- For those with walking difficulties, we have special museum chairs available. These are set up at the beginning of the exhibition and you can use them during your visit.
- There is an adapted restroom at the KAdECafé.
- Visitors who cannot move through the museum independently may bring a companion free of charge.
- Kunsthal KAdE is accessible with an assistance or guide dog if it is recognizable.
- Parking is available under the Eemhuis, which houses Kunsthal KAdE, in parking garage Eemplein.
- Prefer to park somewhere else? Check out the city map with adapted parking spaces. But please note that even with a GPK, a dispensation is required to enter the car-free downtown area. You can here applications.
- Kunsthal KAdE has the Picto Museum Card, for people with communication disabilities. These can be requested at the box office and used during the visit. See here A video explaining the Picto Museum Card.

Elbow Church
In addition to the exhibition at Kunsthal KAdE, an installation by Krijn de Koning & Armando will be on view at the Elbow Church. This installation is separate from the exhibition at Kunsthal KAdE, tickets can be purchased at the Elleboog Church at the box office. See below for entrance fees.

The visiting address of Kunsthal KAdE is Eemplein 77 (Eemkwartier district) in Amersfoort. Plan your route with Google Maps. Parking is available under the Eemhuis in parking garage Eemplein.

Kunsthal KAdE is a partner of We Are Public. We Are Public members can use their pass to visit exhibitions and activities at the Kunsthal on specific dates. Check the program of We Are Public.
House Rules
Photography
Photography (without flash) is allowed in the art hall. Taking a selfie (without flash) is also allowed, nice if you tag us on social media via @kunsthal_kade_amersfoort. Due to the risks of damaging works of art and injuring visitors, taking photos / selfies with a so-called selfie stick is not allowed.

Can I buy tickets at the box office?
It is not mandatory to purchase a ticket online. You can also purchase a ticket directly at the box office prior to your visit.
I still want to buy a ticket online, where can I do that?
On the left side of the menu bar you will find the option 'order tickets'. You can pay with IDEAL. NOTE: if you did not receive a confirmation email after purchase please also check your junk email.
Is it necessary to print the e-ticket(s)?
There is no need to print your e-ticket(s). Scanning the ticket can be done either from a cell phone or from the printed ticket.
I bought a ticket online, but want to cancel it or move it to another day or time, is that possible?

Can the KAdEStudio be visited?
The KAdEStudio is a regular feature of Kunsthal KAdE's exhibitions, offering visitors of all ages the space to reflect, share and create in response to the exhibition. Temporarily, the KAdEStudio is not accessible by wheelchair.
When is the KAdECafé open?
The KAdECafé is open Monday through Sunday from 9:30-17 a.m. You can go there for coffee, lunch or drinks.
Is the KAdEShop open?
The KAdEShop Is open (Tues-Sun from 10am-17pm). Closed during set-up and take-down of exhibitions.
