Read aloud afternoon

In connection with the Jacob Lawrence exhibition, the Eemland Library and Kunsthal KAdE are organizing festive read-aloud afternoons for children ages 4-8 and their (grand)parents. We start the afternoon with reading from the picture book: 'Jake Makes A World', in which you are introduced to young artist Jacob Lawrence and the colorful and vibrant Harlem neighborhood where he lives. Every day after school he goes to the art studio. There he creates paintings of everything he sees and hears in his Harlem. Then you'll join a museum docent to explore the exhibition view at Kunsthal KAdE and in a workshop you are going to make something of your own to take home.
