Tell your story. About your hero. Beyoncé, Mondrian, or just your father.
From the end of September you can see an impressive exhibition about the artist Jacob Lawrence at Kunsthal KAdE. And especially for it, we are organizing STORY AWARDS: a story contest for young people aged 10 to 24.
Who was Jacob Lawrence?
Jacob Lawrence was an African-American artist and a true storyteller. He used his art to show the world how important stories are - about where you come from, what you believe in, and who inspires you.
And now it's your turn.
Because you have stories, too. About people who help others, are brave, who you admire and make a difference. Think of your mom, your soccer coach, your best friend, an artist like Banksy or an artist like Billie Eilish. Maybe your hero is an (in)famous local resident or ... yourself.
Write, rap, tell, or make a video about your hero. Join the STORY AWARDS And give your hero a stage.
The submission deadline has already passed. Would you like to know who the winners are? Then take a look here.
