The exhibition Stairway to...? led to a collaboration with FASadE to host an evening on stairs and ladders in urban planning, landscape and architecture. On Thursday evening March 19 The architecture café will take place in the KAdECafé. Speakers are Jacqueline von Santen, senior advisor on architectural history for the Cultural Heritage Agency and Léon van Geest, director of the Rotterdam Roof Days. Studio MOTO is also contributing to the evening.
Jacqueline von Santen will explain how the staircase has evolved over the years. Léon van Geest knows better than anyone what a staircase can mean for the city. The staircase is a phenomenon that also occupies artists. Studio MOTO will be asked what the staircase means in their work.
Prior to the architecture café, there will be an opportunity to visit the exhibition. And between 5 and 6 p.m., Coen Molenveld will serve gluten-free soup with organic bread and spreads at KAdECafé. You can sign up until March 15 via the button below.
