Art project: 'Signs'

'Signs' consists of a series of yellow traffic signs for which Meester invents her own texts. For this she draws inspiration from various indoor and outdoor locations. She examines how and by whom a place is used, what can be experienced there, or not. Because the texts on the signs enter into a relationship with the location, each sign acquires extra meaning.

There are 14 text signs scattered throughout the Randenbroek and Schuilenburg neighborhoods. On the basis of a roadmap you can look for the signs together or alone. But of course you can also be spontaneously surprised! On the route map, available at Kunsthal KAdE, you will also find 14 empty yellow squares. Here you can write the text of the sign with the correct number.
