Summer at Kunsthal KAdE

This summer, there’s plenty to experience at Kunsthal KAdE! An added bonus: it’s nice and cool inside the art hall

This summer, Kunsthal KAdE will transform into a place where imagination, art, and discovery come together. During the exhibition Mundo Mágico you step into a world where reality takes a slight twist and becomes magical. In addition to the exhibition, there’s an extensive summer program for all ages, full of guided tours, workshops, and activities that invite you to go on your own journey of discovery. Another plus: it’s wonderfully cool in the art hall during the summer.

Guided Tours and Workshops

Every Sunday, visitors can join a boarding tour. Together with a guide, you'll discover the stories behind the artworks and get a glimpse into the magical world of Mundo Mágico.

There’s plenty for kids to do. On June 28, July 25, and August 22, the popular children’s tour will take place ‘No Parents Allowed’ on the program. During this special guided tour, children will explore the exhibition with a museum docent and discover a magical world together.

Those who prefer to get hands-on can participate in the event on July 18 "Magical World" Children's Workshop or August 23 with the workshop for adults. Together with the KNIPMeisjes, you'll create your own imaginative world, inspired by the artists from Mundo Mágico.

Families are also very welcome at Kunsthal KAdE. During the Family tour On July 19 or August 30, children, parents, grandparents, and other family members will explore the exhibition together. It’s the perfect activity for a summer afternoon full of wonder.

Especially for its youngest visitors, Kunsthal KAdE is organizing an event on July 22 and August 19 Read aloud afternoon in collaboration with the Library. The program consists of a storytime session, a guided tour of the exhibition, and a mini-workshop. This brings stories and art together in a playful way.

ECHO at the Elleboogkerk

In addition to the activities at Kunsthal KAdE, there’s also plenty to discover at the Elleboogkerk this summer. During the Intro in the Elbow Church, on the first Sunday of every month, visitors can learn more about the installation ECHO by artist Stephen Dean, and there will be plenty of time to ask questions.

Whether you’re coming to view art, go on an adventure with your family, or get creative yourself, this summer Kunsthal KAdE offers a program full of imagination, connection, and inspiration. Let yourself be surprised, amazed, and swept away to a world where anything seems possible!
